1992-1986                 

Purchasing Agent/Inventory Manager Mail Order Department, Kripalu Center. Part of a team that streamlined order fulfillment, cutting order to shipping time from two weeks to three days. Supervised a team of 16 people who did monthly inventories and warehousing in five separate locations. Wrote and tracked purchase orders, receivings, and billings. Managed inventory of 150 different items valued at a quarter of a million dollars. Managed shop at seminars.

 

1989-1992                 

Household Inventory Manager, Household Department, Kripalu Center. Managed a staff of 2-5 people, responsible for inventories, Linen and Supplies deliveries, care of 200 indoor trees and plants, Resolved conflicts between guests and staff. Ordered household supplies for a hotel that served 15,000 guests and grossed 8 million per year. Communicated by (popular and well read) memos to the resident staff of 350 people. During one year and a half years created efficient systems enabling the department to take on the work of two other full time positions without increasing staff.

Apprenticed to Fleming Pfann, Fiber Artist. Spinning, Weaving, Dyeing, Sewing, Macrame, Knitting, Crocheting, Quilting, Basketry, Needlepoint, Etc.
